DIY: Exfoliating Facial Mask

Today we will be making an exfoliating antioxidant rich mask! This is a great way to naturally remove dead skin cells and reveal healthy glowing skin, while adding the benefits of natural antioxidants to really revitalize the skin.

Plain non fat or low fat yogurt.
I prefer Greek yogurt because it is more rich and dense in texture.  Yogurt contains lactic acid, which softens the skin,  reduces
wrinkles  and hydrates dry areas. ...

Liquid/soft honey.
Natural antioxidant and anti-microbial properties  help to protect the skin from the damage of the sun's rays, supports the skin's  ability
to rejuvenate and refresh depleted skin, leaving it feeling silky soft  and
supple.

How To Manage Excessive Oily Skin

A lot of people suffer from excessive oily skin, and struggle to deal with it.  First off. Let me just say, you cannot get rid of oily skin.  It's a part of who you are, and you can thank the microscopic sebaceous gland, hidden beneath the surface of the skin, for your curse or blessing, what ever you
want to call it.  Sebaceous glands produce sebum, the fatty oil that drives you nuts! The area with the most oil-producing ability is the one most crowded with sebaceous glands, like the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin). You might not be able to get rid of your oily skin, but you can sure keep it under control.  With the right products and techniques, you can keep the oil at bay and keep your makeup looking fresh.

Nivea Firming Body Lotion

Hello beauties! Today I want to share with you one of my favourite body lotions.  It is the Niva Firming Body Lotion, with advanced Q10 complex. You know we age, loose weight, gain weight, have babies that can really take a toll on our skin! Causing it to loose firmness and elasticity.
I have been using  this lotion for over a year now and have seen great results.  My skin looks and feels more toned and smooth.  It is well hydrated and stays that way all day!   This body lotion is light weight and creamy, absorbs easily and adds a nice glow to the skin.  You’re left with smooth, soft, supple skin.  It`s not to greasy and it doesn`t leave a sticky feeling.

DIY Tropical Body Scrub

Today we will be making a tropical body scrub; this is a great exfoliator to get rid of dry patchy skin, especially areas prone to dryness such as hand, feet, elbows and knees. This is a simple recipe  and you can find all of these ingredients in your very own kitchen. So let`s get  started!

You will need the following

Unrefined coconut oil (refined coconut oil has been processed to remove impurities and the natural smell of the coconut, and for this recipe we want all  of the goodness and nutritional value of the coconut oil as well as the pleasant  tropical smell of coconuts!) You will also need honey, white granulated sugar,  if you have sensitive skin use brown sugar which is more gentler. A bowl and  spoon for mixing.

The Benefits of Facial Treatments and Massage

Getting the girls together for a day at the spa is a great way to nurture one’s mind, body and soul. One of the more popular services offered at many spas are facials. Which can be quiet relaxing and soothing, however the benefits of Facial therapy is so much more than just a temporary feel-good moment.

Is that a Wrinkle? At what Age should you start an Anti-aging Regimen

Anti-aging, well what does that mean?! Does it mean I will stay youthful, and young looking forever?  Will I never look a day over 20?! Anti-aging is a preventative measure, a precaution by using advanced treatments with active ingredients such as alpha-hydroxyl acids, to help you age gracefully.  Let’s face it, there is no magic youth potion, we are all getting older and with age comes wrinkles and fine lines, dry skin and age spots, discoloration and sagging of the skin. Yes it sounds scary doesn't it! However, what anti-aging skin care does, it helps to minimize those effects, even go as far as preventing some of these issues.

Facial Steaming and the Benefits

The contraction in the pictures above are called facial saunas. You can find these at almost any major drug store or on line. The facial sauna can be bought separately or you can get a set, which some will consist of a nasal inhaler and a exfoliating brush/sponge. The top two brands that carry facial saunas are Conair and Revlon .
The facial sauna is a great tool to add to your skin care regimen. The warm, therapeutic steam released from the sauna, gently hits the face and aids in opening up the pores to release dirt and impurities. This is especially great for those with acne prone skin. After days of wearing makeup and pollutants from the air seeping into the skin, using a facial sauna is a great way to get a deep clean, minimizing breakouts, excessive oil production and
dryness.

MIYU Teas & Beauty

Introducing MIYU Beauty! The first lifestyle beauty brand to pair teas with skincare – helping women nourish their complexions from the inside out, in a delightful way.
In 2003, Connie Tai, a small-town girl from Western Canada, moved to the Big Apple to realize her childhood dreams of joining the beauty industry. While developing dozens of skincare products for a leading New York spa and beauty company, Connie noticed her hectic lifestyle was making its toll on her previously problem-free ski
Realizing the impact life's stressors play on one's skin health, Connie soon learned shw wasn't alone. In fact, she was surprised to learn that 20% of the skin aging process is a result of genetics while the others 80% is caused by external factors such as poor diet, sleep, stress and UV exposure. Thankfully, the latter are elements well within our ability to control. Empowered by this knowledge, Connie discovered the beauty industry was merely scratching the surface with topical treatments and decided to bridge the gap with a line of products that could also mourish the skin from within, while complementing a healthy lifestyle.
