The contraction in the pictures above are called facial saunas. You can find these at almost any major drug store or on line. The facial sauna can be bought separately or you can get a set, which some will consist of a nasal inhaler and a exfoliating brush/sponge. The top two brands that carry facial saunas are Conair and Revlon .
The facial sauna is a great tool to add to your skin care regimen. The warm, therapeutic steam released from the sauna, gently hits the face and aids in opening up the pores to release dirt and impurities. This is especially great for those with acne prone skin. After days of wearing makeup and pollutants from the air seeping into the skin, using a facial sauna is a great way to get a deep clean, minimizing breakouts, excessive oil production and
dryness.
You can use a facial sauna once or twice a week for 10-15 minutes. Some saunas come equipped with a timer, so you can set it for however long you like. After your steaming session, would be the perfect time to exfoliate the skin either using a manual scrub or exfoliating brush to get rid of dry patches and dead skin cells, to reveal younger, smoother, looking skin.
The nasal inhaler that comes with the kit is excellent If you suffer from asthma and chronic bronchitis. The heat dilates bronchial and nasal passages, allowing air to travel more freely. The heat and steam from the sauna also help to clear mucus from nasal and bronchial passages, which offers some relief to people with chronic sinusitis. A nasal sauna inhaler might also make you feel better when you're stuffed up from a cold.
Have you tried using a facial sauna before? what are your thoughts and how did you like your results?!
