Spring/Summer Makeup Trends 2014

I don’t know about you, but I love Spring/Summer makeup.  It is the perfect time to get bold and rock some fabulous color as well as get creative with your makeup looks.  Here are the trends for Spring/Summer 2014.

Purple, Purple, Purple
Yes it is the color of the year and we are calling it Radiant Orchid! The name alone sounds so inviting.  Don’t be shy ladies, you can rock a gorgeous purple smoky eye, a soft mauve cheek and of course purple lips in any shade from royal purple to soft lilac.  This is a universal color meaning any skin tone can look flattering in shades of purple so find the perfect shade for you and flaunt it!

Graphic Eyeliner
Bold sharp lines to define the eyes we are taking it up a notch, your winged liner has met its match.  Liner has gone graphic with extended flicks and creative shapes.  Put an angle on your liner and make it more interesting by using color eye liner such as teal another hot color of the season.

Get Glowing
Glowing skin will never go out of style; it’s fresh, youthful looking and gives you that sun kissed touch.  Bronzer is perfect to do the trick, to give you a glow and a natural looking tan.  Learn how to apply bronzer in this article.

Brows & More Brows
And they are back and really have never left, full, thick and defined brows. Yes ladies, this season we are aiming for boyish brows meaning less of an arch and more fullness to frame the face.  If you have sparse brows try filling them in with a brow pencil/powder or tinted gel to spice them up.

Let’s Face It Go Bare
Bare faced skin is in! It’s one of the biggest makeup trends the no makeup look, which I think is a great, fresh and light look to rock during the hotter months.  Even out your complexion with a tinted moisturizer/BB Cream for a natural even tone look with a beautiful glowy finish. Spot conceal where needed, define the eyes with a little mascara and rock a nude or bare lip.

These are just some of the biggest trends happening this year; share with us some of your favourites and which ones you will be incorporating in your looks in the comments below.
